Ministry of Power’s Maharatna PSU, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC Limited) is inviting applications for 250 posts of Assistant Executive (Operation) on a fixed term basis, with the last date to apply being 07-05-2026. Candidates are advised to carefully check eligibility criteria before applying.

Selected candidates will be responsible for operating and supervising equipment at site, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, and identifying as well as resolving equipment-related issues while complying with all applicable guidelines and regulations. Posting may be at any of the units/JVs/subsidiaries of NTPC across the country.

Maximum 35 years B.E./B.Tech Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution with at least 40% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
Minimum 01 year post-qualification experience in Operation/Commissioning/Maintenance of power plant of capacity 40 MW or more
Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated) + HRA as applicable
Age Conditions
  • Unreserved category Candidate should be born on or after 08-05-1991
  • Upper age limit relaxation
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules
Contract Terms
  • Fixed term appointment for 3 years (extendable up to 5 years based on requirement and performance)

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will consist of application screening followed by a personal interview. Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria including educational qualification and relevant post-qualification experience, and only shortlisted candidates will be considered for the next stage.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview, where their suitability for the role will be assessed. Final selection will be made based on performance in the interview, subject to meeting all prescribed eligibility conditions.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • General/EWS/OBC: Rs. 500/-
  • SC/ST/PwBD/XSM/Female: Nil

    • General/EWS/OBC: Rs. 500 (non-refundable)
    • SC/ST/PwBD/XSM/Female: No fee
    • Payment methods:
      • Online: Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card
      • Offline: Deposit fee at SBI using pay-in-slip generated from portal in NTPC account (A/C No. 30987919993, CAG Branch New Delhi, Code: 09996). Enter Journal Number and Branch Code in form.
  • Verify all details before final submission.
  • After final submission, download and save application slip for future reference.
  • No need to send hard copy to NTPC at this stage.
